New York, NY (Sports Network) - Michael Ryder scored his second game-winning goal in as many nights, this one 2:10 into overtime, as the Montreal Canadiens defeated the New York Rangers, 4-3, at Madison Square Garden. Ryder, who scored the game-winning goal with 11.1 seconds left in Montreal's 2-1 season-opening win over Boston on Wednesday, tallied two goals and Jose Theodore stopped 16 shots for Montreal. Christopher Higgins and Alexander Perezhogin both notched their first NHL career goals for the Canadiens. Kevin Weekes allowed four goals on 28 shots and Marcel Hossa, Martin Rucinsky and Dominic Moore each scored goals for the Rangers.
